Vanguard's VEO PH-28 is a specialized 2-way pan head that has a single telescopic handle to lock/unlock the head's movements. This makes it easy to track moving objects with one hand, leaving your spare hand free to adjust the focus -- perfect for use with a spotting scope/large lens to track birds in flight or wildlife on the move.
With a maximum load capacity of up to 17.6lbs and an extra-large Arca-compatible plate with a spring pin to ensure the correct alignment at all times, this head can handle the biggest spotting scopes/lenses with ease. Alternatively, if the spotting scope/lens has an Arca-compatible foot, then it can slot into the clamp directly for the most solid fit possible.
